Canadians have competed against the top juniors in the world since 1970
Prior to the establishment of the World Junior championships, most of the world’s top junior competitors participated in the European Junior Championships which first took place in 1968, in Les Rousses France. Canada first participated in the European Junior Championships in 1970 in Gosau, Austria.
