These records have been compiled prior to 1988 by Jarl Omholt-Jensen a National Ski Team member from 1969 to 1973, and a 1972 Olympian. Jarl was a dedicated freelance journalist with a passion for the sport.
The first Canadian Junior Championships were held in 1952 and they were a combined event with Cross-Country, Jumping, Slalom and Downhill races until 1969. Prior to 1952 there was a junior competition as part of the Senior Championships
Prior to 1959 there were no female athletes competing at the National Championships.
